- Do not spam members or the platform: We don't tolerate spamming of any kind on our platform. That includes unsolicited advertising, repetitive posts, and fake or misleading information.
- Follow the law: We want everyone to feel safe and secure on our platform, so please refrain from any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, and insider trading.
- Be responsible for your account: We want our community to feel confident that the information being shared is accurate and reliable. Please only share information that you know to be true, and be sure to cite your sources.
- Protect personal information: Do not share your personal or banking information on our online communities. You should not disclose your account numbers, PINs, or passwords.
- Deal only with regulated intermediaries: Please note that Tickertape Social does not provide or facilitate the provision of any investment advice, research report or analysis. You must not construe any content or information on Tickertape Social, regardless of the person or entity publishing or sharing it, as investment advice or research report in terms of SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 and the SEBI (Research Analyst) Regulations, 2014 respectively. Before making any investment decision, you should consult a SEBI registered investment advisor or research analyst. Do not make any investment decisions based on the content and/or information on Tickertape Social, regardless of the person or entity publishing or sharing the same.
- Promote financial literacy and awareness: The content and information on Tickertape Social should be consumed for the purpose of promoting financial education and literacy. However, such content and information must not be construed as investment advice or research report.
- Do not violate securities laws: Please ensure that you do not spread any false rumors on Tickertape Social. Further, do not communicate any unpublish price sensitive information on Tickertape Social or use Tickertape Social to carry out any insider trading, front running, unfair, manipulative or fraudulent activities.

Additionally, Tickertape Social allows certain users to charge a subscription fee to allow other users to access their content. Thus, in addition to the above guidelines, certain additional guidelines are applicable on such users, who charge a subscription fee from users desirous of accessing their content. These guidelines are as follows:
- Ensure that your content is not in violation of any applicable laws, including, but not restricted to, laws promulgated by the SEBI on matters related to insider trading, communication of unpublished price sensitive information, manipulative or fraudulent practices and regulation of intermediaries such as investment advisers, portfolio managers and research analysts.
- Do not provide any investment advisory services, as governed under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. To clarify, SEBI defines investment advice as“advice relating to investing in, purchasing, selling or otherwise dealing in securities or investment products, and advice on investment portfolio containing securities or investment products, whether written, oral or through any other means of communication for the benefit of the client and shall include financial planning […]” and financial planning as “[…] includes analysis of clients’ current financial situation, identification of their financial goals, and developing and recommending financial strategies to realise such goals”.However, you may make general comments in good faith in regard to trends in the financial or securities market or the economic situation where such comments do not specify any particular securities or investment product.
Do not provide any research analyst services, as governed under the SEBI (Research Analyst) Regulations, 2014 on Tickertape Social. To clarify, the Content Creator must not (i) prepare, provide or publish a research report; (ii) make any 'buy/sell/hold' recommendation; (iii) give a price target; or offer its opinion concerning a public offer; (iv) provide research analysis or research recommendation or opinion on securities or a public offer, which would provide a basis for an investment decision. However, your content may inter alia pertain to following items:
- comments on general trends in the securities market;
- discussions on the broad-based indices;
- commentaries on economic, political or market conditions;
- statistical summaries of financial data of the companies;
- technical analysis relating to the demand and supply in a sector or the index;
- Ensure that while creating and/or publishing your content, you do not violate the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 or SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003 or any other relevant securities laws.
- Ensure that the content must not be used to lure, entice or induce to make investments in securities based on guarantees, assurances and false promises and ensure that no mis-selling of securities and financial services or products is carried out.
- Ensure that the content posted by you is original and not plagiarised.
